Fu Wan Chocolate - Putting Taiwan's Cacao on the Map

Event Description

Warren Hsu has applied his training and background as a chef to make Fu Wan one of Asia’s foremost artisanal chocolates. He uses only Taiwanese cacao grown in the monsoon climate of Ping Tung county.  

Attendees of this webinar will:
  • learn about the flavor profile of the cacao grown in Taiwan
  • get a behind the scenes tour of the tree to bar facility where the award winning chocolate is made  
  • hear Warren's insights into the Asian chocolate consumer.
Warren will be chatting with FCIA members Lee Theisen, Ph.D., who teaches the history, economics and science of chocolate at UCLA and Maricel Presilla, Ph.D., James Beard award winning chef/author and permanent member of International Chocolate Awards.
